Professor of the University Illinois USA, Honorary Editor of the Journal «Applied and Computational Mathematics” Tamer Basar visited Baku. Professor Tamer Bashar had been Institute of Applied Mathematics, Baku State University. He met the director of Institute Prof. Fikret Aliev and the members of Edition of Journal. It way discussed the problems and ways of development of the Journal.

Considering the contribution of the Professor of University of California, Berkeley, professor in the Graduate School and Director of the Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing (BISC) L. Zadeh the issue is dedicated to his 90th anniversary.

The issue 2, Vol.1 of the “TWMS Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics” established by the “Turkic World Mathematical Society (TWMS) has been published.The issue contains the papers of the scientists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, İran, Uzbekistan, USA, Pakistan, Swedom, Pakistan, Turkmenistan.
The Turkic World Mathematical Society (TWMS) will hold its 4th Congress in July 1-3, 2011 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

On the frame of the International Scientific project PICS N4962 (France, Azerbaijan) realized by the collaborators of the Institute scientists from France prof. A.Nachaoui, A.Azzouzi, M.Nachaoui participated in the seminar of the institute. Coordinator of the project from University de Nantes prof. A.Nachaoui gave a detail information about the project, its realization and future plans. He said that the projects is open for discussion and invited everybody for collaboration.
International conference

An International conference "Actual problems of Applied Mathematics and information technologies" was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on September 18-21, 2009. Direktor of the Institute academician F.Aliev and head of the department "Inverse problems and nonlinear equations" Yu.Gasimov (Ph.D) took part at the conference. F.Aliev gave a plenary talk. He presented new established journal of Turkish World Mathematical Society "Pure and Applied Mathematics".

The International Communications of the Institute Getting Stronger

Research relation of the Institute with French Institutions develops day by day. Already existing relation between Nantes University is added cooperation with CNRS (National Centre for Research and Science) Recently an information has been received confirming that the joint research project of the collaborators of the institute and CNRS was accepted. This project is considered as the first step in organization of the international Research Laboratory.
